Mathew Sinclair is an Australian-born former New Zealand cricketer who gained recognition for his prolific batting during his international career. Born on March 27, 1975, in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, Sinclair primarily played as a right-handed middle order batsman who has also opened the innings.
Sinclair had a memorable start to his Test career, holding the equal world record for the highest Test score by a number three batsman on debut when he opened his international career against West Indies in 1999.
Sinclair's Test career spanned from 1999 to 2010, during which he played 33 matches, scoring over 1,700 runs.
