‘The Basin’, as locals know it, is located at the southern end of Kent and Cambridge Terraces, and at the northern end of Adelaide Road. The Basin Reserve is open to the public every day from 7am to 9pm.

The Cricket Museum is housed in the historic Museum Stand and is accessed from inside the ground.

With its central location so close to Wellington city, there are a number of simple options to get you to the New Zealand Cricket Museum.

It is a short walk from Te Papa, Courtenay Place, the National War Memorial Park, or The Great War Exhibition to the Basin Reserve. Pedestrian access is via the CS Dempster Gate on Buckle Street and the JR Reid Gate on Rugby Street.

Parking is available on many of the streets around the Basin Reserve. The majority of this parking is Pay-&-Display.

Your best bet for catching a bus to the Basin Reserve is to jump on a #1 bus from anywhere in the city.
