To celebrate 150 years of cricket at the iconic Basin Reserve, the New Zealand Cricket Museum is hosting an open day, 150 years to the day since a ball was first bowled on the hallowed turf.
The Museum will be open with exclusive Basin Reserve merchandise, deals, behind the scenes Museum tours, and more.
Entry by donation.
We’re starting our summer with a massive open day which will give the community their first chance to see the bat they helped buy: Martin Crowe’s record-setting 17th Test century bat.
As well as the famous bat, we’ll also have a sneak preview of our famous Test match book sale (including 50% off all secondhand Wisdens), discounts on other merchandise, giveaways, and the Wellington Firebirds and Northern Districts cricket sides will be facing off in a Ford Trophy one-day match out on the Basin Reserve.
Get along to see history and take home some of your own. Free entry to the cricket and the Museum.
PLEASE NOTE: access to the Museum will be via the RA Vance Stand carpark due to construction work at the Basin Reserve – look out for our flags!
