The teams played an unofficial Test at the ground on March 3,4,6, and 7 1967. The first of four internationals between the sides during the tour, New Zealand won the First-Class match by 159 runs with Bryan Yuile taking 5 wickets in the first innings and Vic Pollard 7 in the second. Pollard finished with 11 for the match.
