Opened on New Year’s Day 1925, the Museum Stand at the Basin Reserve occupies a site which has housed a grandstand since 1872. While it’s future is up in the air due to earthquake issues, it is still home to the New Zealand Cricket Museum and it continues to add to the ground and city skyline.

This week the Museum is offering two tours behind the scenes at the Basin Reserve, spaces are still available if you’d like to join the exclusive look around the historic ground. If you can’t make it, we’ve collated some photographs of the hidden world of the Museum Stand.
