Harley Richards

Harley was raised in the small town of Oamaru where he developed a passion for the sport of rugby, if he wasn’t playing, he was reading or watching it. A lover of all sports; no matter the shape of the ball, or the lines painted on the ground. Harley attended the University of Otago where he got a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Archaeology and History. He then moved to Wellington at the start of 2016 where he began his Masters in Museum and Heritage Practice. During his first year in Wellington he offered his time to the cricket museum as a volunteer. He catalogued numerous items from photos, books and playing gear. He has also redeveloped and created new exhibits in the museum with the hope to do more. In 2017 Harley was lucky enough to be taken on as an intern, as part of his Masters course, where he will gain more practical experience in the museum sector.
